Was Willy Paul a Gospel artiste?

Willy Paul has never been a gospel artiste and neither was he a Christian. Well, I know that sounds shocking to many people who have been deceived by so-called ‘urban gospel music’ where willy paul started as a musician.

Recently, one of the comedians named Eric Omondi was calling Msafi to repent and turn to God to which the ‘Sitolia’ hitmaker responded by saying that he is not a gospel musician.

There is no doubt that the so-called gospel musicians have many of them gone out of what they claimed and they are now actively creating secular content, involving themselves in immorality and all sorts of scandals following them. It is a sad reality.

Even some of the local ‘gospel’ musicians from Ukambani have gone out and engaged in activities that are very shameful to even discuss. Others are out dissing each other in shameful language while Kasolo was very happy celebrating immorality.

Eric Omondi called out many musicians who in the past have been making ‘gospel’ music including Bahati, Jimmy Gait, Ringtone Apoko, Mercy Masika, Guardian angel, etc. Even Eric Omondi must repent for cladding in women’s clothes, he is not spared. Whether he was doing this for clout chasing or serious, the fact remains.

Eric Omondi responded that he first met Willy Paul at Mavuno Church ministering which meant he was a gospel musician then. The truth is that many of those Eric Omondi called out probably have never been Christians.

There is no record of many of those Eric mentioned publicly articulating the gospel or singing any song with the biblical gospel in them. The name we can give them is that they were entertainers who branded themselves as Christians.

Whenever you see believers doing songs with non-believers you know there is something cooking. All these musicians started drifting by doing collabos with unbelievers and the result is that they left to join them.

The teaching that someone can be a Christian and then all of a sudden dump it and go back to the world is alien to the scriptures. The Bible teaches that believers can never lose salvation.

However, it is possible for believers to disobey for some time but God will always bring them back to the faith. Whether they have backslid or they were never saved, to begin with, it is true they are treading on very dangerous ground.

What happened to Gospel Music  in Kenya

These celebrities seemed to have no church in which in they were members. They were taken in pursuit of money and fame to the point they forgot who gifted them. The neglect of means of grace like prayer, personal devotion, the fellowship of the saints, etc.

Dear reader, the Bible says who thinks he stands should take heed lest he falls. Let us watch and pray that we may not enter into temptations.  Study the word to guard yourself against false teaching that abounds in every side today. Examine yourself to see if you are still in the faith.
