Prophet Owuor Asked to give names of disabled people he ‘healed’ in Bomet
EALA MP Sankok calls Prophet Owuor to submit the list of names of people he claims he heals in his crusade in Bomet so that they be de-registered from the People with Disability PWD database.
Self-proclaimed ‘mighty prophet’ Owuor of Holiness and Repentance held a mega crusade which saw many leaders attend including Mp Salasya and Bomet County Women Rep Linnet Toto.
There was a picture taken from the crusade of Owuor carrying lots of clutches after healing those who had disabilities. This picture drew the attention of netizens and Mike Sonko commented, “These are great miracles. There’s a God in heaven who heals” asking the self-proclaimed prophet to heal Honorable Sankok, who is disabled.
Long story short. This is not the first time you are hearing of and seeing this kind of supposed healing miracle. They happen every time there is a mega crusade in Kenya. Last year, during Rhema Fest Festival, such supposed miracles also happened.
But there is always a concern about these miracles. Who are the people who are said to have been healed? What really happens surely, it seems these things are scams and nothing real at all.
Even if you take your friend who is disabled, they won’t get healed. So why is it that only those people who are unwell get healed?
Those who are not healed are told they did not have enough faith or that God is testing them and their miracle is only the way.
Ex Nairobi City Governor asked Owuor to pray for EALA MP who is disabled. To this Mp responded, “I may not be as strong as you but I work, play, and enjoy life at my own pace because my attitude and willpower are stronger than my disability.” Sankok said that he believed what the bible teaches that he is beautifully and wonderfully made.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
Psalms 139:14 KJV
The reason is that these miracles are fake and stage-managed for the most part. They are never real. I hold to cessationism regarding the miracle-working gift of the Holy Spirit. I believe that gift of performing miracles ceased with the death of the last apostle.
For many centuries past, it was accepted the fact that the gifts of the holy spirit like performing miracles were no longer in the church. False prophets like prophet Owuor perform these fake miracles to draw huge crowds to themselves and achieve their own desires.
To the time of publishing this article, Prophet Owuor had not handed over the list of those people with a disability he had healed in Bomet. He will not submit the names because they are all fake.
Dear reader, Jesus said to beware of false teachers who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. These are enemies of the cross. Beware of them. Shalom
