God’s judgement on the last Day will not be like the judgment we are used to in the human court! God’s judgment will be final. There will be no appeal! My dear reader if you have not repented of your sins and trusted in the finished work of Jesus Christ, it is time you do because God’s judgement has no appeal.
When a man is convicted in a human court and he is not pleased with the judgment given by a certain judge, he can appeal to the highest court in the land for further hearing. The decision made by the judge at the highest court of the land might be pleasing to the defendant or not but it will be final.
But in the courts of heaven above, when the Righteous Judge (God) makes a judgement, there won’t be room for appeal. There will not be an adjournment either. The moment you have been pronounced guilty and condemned, there will be no other option for you to be saved. Your soul will be lost eternally!
Why you cannot appeal to God’s Judgement.
You may ask, why can’t I appeal in heaven? Below are some of the reasons why you cannot appeal to God’s Judgement.
- God Is a Righteous Judge
God’s judgement will be perfect and righteous. Since he knows everything, his judgement will not based on shreds of evidence of other people as it happens in the human courts of law. Normally in the court, the burden of proof lies on the complainant to convince the court that it is more probable than improbable that the accused committed the crime. Even unjust judges can deny justice to the poor, widows, etc.
But God is righteous and just. He will give just recompense to each one according to their deeds.
2. God’s Judgement is Final
Heaven’s court is the highest court ever. Where you do appeal to? The judgment will be on the last day. When would your case be adjourned? God’s judgement will be perfect, just, and last one.
Some may think that the last day will be a long day where God will be reminding you of sins you cannot remember but the truth of the matter is that if you have not repented of your sins, you are condemned already! But for those who are in Christ Jesus, there is no condemnation.
Sins of the believers have been paid by Christ Jesus on the cross and therefore on the last day, they will be welcomed into heaven based on the righteousness of Christ Jesus. Those who have refused to repent and believe in Christ Jesus will perish.
The big question is, Are you Saved? If you are not a real Christian, you have no hope in the Last Day. Please read the articles below.
