Nairobi Institute of Reformed Theology is a reformed theological seminary based in Nairobi Kenya by Emmanuel Baptist Church in Nairobi. Nairobi Institute of Reformed Theology aims at the scarcity of faithful pastor-scholars within Africa.
Many African theologians are armed with advanced degrees but they prioritize cultural influence over the fundamental authority of the scriptures. This is because applied theology such as missiology takes precedence while fundamental disciplines of exegesis, biblical theology, and systematic theology are ignored in graduate-level programs in theology.
Accreditation and Collaboration:
. NIRT is currently (March 2025) unaccredited in Kenya and offers students a unique opportunity to apply for Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary’s (PRTS) online MA degree at a reduced cost. NIRT is actively engaging with institutions in the US and Europe to facilitate the acceptance of its graduates into higher programs based on their degrees. All NIRT courses adhere to ATS standards.
